Habbet Binn "Coffee Bean"
Habbet Binn (حبة بن) “Coffee Bean”
A3 Sized Risograph Print
4 Colours (Yellow, Aqua, Red, Black)
Printed on Context Birch 170gsm 100% Recycled Paper
We’re delighted to launch our first Goose Studio Riso Print Edition. Collaborating with artist’s who’s work we admire. The first one’s a special one as all the sales will be donated to charity. We’re kicking off with the excellent artist Aurelia Lange.
Habbet Binn (حبة بن), meaning “coffee bean” in Arabic, is a traditional motif in Palestinian embroidery (tatreez), particularly from the regions of Gaza and Jaffa. The design symbolizes hospitality, warmth, and welcome, reflecting the deep-rooted cultural importance of coffee in Palestinian social life and gatherings.
Aurelia pays homage to this powerful symbol through expressive brushwork and bold colour, reinterpreting the classic pattern into a rich, layered composition that’s both contemporary and deeply connected to tradition.
Printed using four Risograph layers, each print offers beautiful texture and variation, making every piece unique.
100% of proceeds go to Hope and Play a UK charity dedicated to helping add hope and play to the lives of Palestinian children who are denied these most basic rights. We do this by building spaces to play, offering learning opportunities and providing trauma support to children.
*Each print may vary slightly due to the nature of the Riso print process.
